Woodgrove have experienced programmers that code directly in all native control languages.
MPC, FMPC, Advanced FF control and PFS®
Woodgrove Advanced Regulatory Control – PARC® is coded using proprietary algorithms directly within the control system. PARC® is part of a modular structure designed to interact with upstream and downstream controllers and to integrate with higher level optimization layers. PARC® makes full use of the mine’s investment in the control system by capitalizing on the advanced functionalities, to achieve a more stable and predictable response in the plant.
As PARC® is imbedded in the native control system, it will have another advantage of helping ensure the base level controls on site are performing within specification.
Basically your production rate goes up. We used to be happy with a 30 percent yield, now we get 35 for the exact same cost.
We have a remote connection. So Portage can log into our computer and fix most everything right from Toronto.
It’s often hard to find some higher-end technologies that the operators actually appreciate, and they actually really like this system.
We have proven it (Woodgrove Technology) is a no brainer, and are the first company to use this on a broad basis. […] We will use it wherever we can as there are so many environmental and economic benefits to it.
