Established in 2009, Woodgrove Technologies continues the mandate of their previous company, Minnovex, in providing innovative, technologically advanced flotation and advanced process control systems for the Mineral Processing Industry.
Prior to selling Minnovex to SGS Canada in 2005, they carried out work in over 30 countries, with offices in five countries. The company specialized in research, development, and implementation of technological advances in the mining industry for froth flotation, comminution, geometallurgical modeling, and advanced process control.
Woodgrove commenced the development of a novel new technology, the Staged Flotation Reactor (SFR). To prove commercial viability, Woodgrove installed and commissioned a Staged Flotation Reactor taking full throughput of a large copper concentrator. This study was completed on behalf of 10 of the largest global mining companies. An SFR solution was also installed and proven in 2010 at a gold operation in Canada.
In 2016 Woodgrove merged with Portage Technologies, combining two synergistic partners. Portage Technologies was established in 2010, focused on plant intelligence in the mining / mineral processing industry. The company has developed world class products for over 200 mining operations globally. The Intellectual Property developed and installed by Portage, proves increased throughput, more stable operations and improved recoveries. Staged Flotation Reactors installed on 4 Continents.
First Direct Flotation Reactor installed in Brazil. Improved recoveries with higher concentrate grades achieved.
The company continues to grow with new technologies and expand globally.
