Each test can simulate how many rougher / scavenger stages are needed to reach the goal. Reagents and conditions can be modified at each stage of the test
Samples taken from the plant in operation are used for comparison between Woodgrove Pilot Plant and the equipment used at the plant
The Woodgrove Pilot Plant can be configured from two to five stages. With the general control panel, you can control the energy used in pumps, agitators and also in the control elements
The Semi-Continuous Pilot Plant (SCPP) was developed to serve both Greenfield projects (new deployments) and Brownfields projects (in existing plants).
The pilot plant is installed in a renowned and recognized testing center, where samples from drillings or selected ores are prepared for testing, and in parallel, are analyzed in the laboratory through bench flotation tests.
This pilot plant needs approximately 20 to 30 kg of ore per test and the flow rates are approximately 12 to 20 L / min. Each test simulates how many rougher / scavenger steps are required to reach the goal. Reagents and conditions can be modified at each stage of the test. This allows the operator of the pilot plant to quickly find the ideal conditions to maximize the content and recovery for each batch of 30 kg of ore. In parallel, bench flotation tests are performed. This allows a comparison of the efficiency and advantages of Woodgrove Flotation Solutions in relation to bench flotation. Through the use of recognized “scale up” procedures of the results obtained in the laboratory for the commercial scale of tank or columns, the same comparison can be made on a commercial production scale.
This pilot plant is ideal for the rougher and scavenger stages. It can also be used in the cleaner stage, if sufficient samples are obtained in the tests carried out in the rougher stage.
For test programs on operating concentrators, the semi-continuous Pilot Plant can be assembled in any area of the industrial facilities. Samples can be collected through a manual sampler and buckets at any point of interest and for testing at the Pilot Plant. Samples collected from the existing circuit will also allow comparison between the Woodgrove Pilot Plant and the equipment existing at the plant. Woodgrove semi-continuous Pilot Plant is ideal for tests on existing plants, as it allows tests to be carried out on samples from any stage of the circuit (rougher, scavenger, cleaner) with minimal modifications to the assembly that are completed in minutes.
We have a remote connection. So Portage can log into our computer and fix most everything right from Toronto.
